Summary:



The story starts with a description of John Hamilton and his wife. Actually we get thrown in the story while John Hamilton is having a meeting with his boss (Colonel T. E. Edwards). Hamilton loses his job because one of his work mates (McFayffe) suspects his wife of being a communist. After that, he gets laid around the factory for the last time.
